Often compared to the druggy psychedelic pop of, do possess more than just a passing resemblance to and company at times, but elements of such modern rockers as and can be detected in their sound as well. In 2000, the band issued its third full-length overall,. 'Bohemian Like You' was a hit at college radio. Though the band was relatively quiet during 2004, it remained prominent thanks to the fascinating documentary Dig!, which chronicled the love-hate relationship between. The group returned with new music in 2005, when arrived that fall. In 2008, released their sixth album,, in both digital and physical formats on their own Beat the World label; the album also featured collaborations with and '. The 's followed up with their ninth album,, in 2012.

In 2013, the band rang in the 13th anniversary of their breakout third album,, by heading out on the road to perform the album live. The tour resulted in the bands first ever live album, Thirteen Tales From Urban Bohemia Live at the Wonder, which was released the following year.
