Martika (born Marta Marrero on May 18, 1969 in Whittier, California) is a female pop singer actress from the 80s and 90s. She began her career in an uncredited role as one of the orphan girls in the 1982 film 'Annie' which led to her being cast on the children's television program 'Kids Incorporated' as Gloria and stayed on the show until 1986. In 1984, Martika appeared in Mr. T's motivational video 'Be Somebody.or Be Somebody's Fool!' Which featured future singers Shanice Wilson and Stacy 'Fergie' Ferguson (who also starred on 'Kids Inc' with her). As of October 1, 2012, Martika's Australian tour was cancelled, but her official website states that the Mirror Ball Tour in the United States is scheduled to begin in Chicago on November 19, 2012 with additional dates in Elk Grove and Cincinatti.
