Associated Students Organization The Associated Students Organization at Los Angeles Southwest College is the governing body representing students. ASO also sponsors social activities and events and supports its members throughout the year. Membership in the ASO is not mandatory.

However, student activities are financed by money received from student membership in ASO. Activities are in accordance with policies, rules, and regulations defined by the Board of Trustees of the Los Angeles Community College District.

ASO Meetings The ASO meets at 1 p.m. Thursdays in the Student Services Building, Room 216. Student Representation Fee In the 2011-12 semester, Los Angeles Southwest College students voted to pay one dollar ($1.00) per semester (Education Code section 76060.5) to raise funds towards operations. These funds are used to sponsor events and support campus activities geared toward students. ASO membership cards are $7 per semester and $3 for summer session students.
