Principal Goswami of prestigious Royal Heritage High School recruits his chum, Hari Sadu, to coach his school's five-time winning cricket team, only to let him go following complaints of abuse. Hari approaches various other schools in Tejpur, and manages to convince Principal Saxena of Adarsh Vidya Mandir to coach an impoverished team to face the champions. He will soon realize that apart from being the underdogs, he will also face opposition from the school's coach, Surinder Huda, who detests cricket and would prefer to coach students on traditional Indian sports such as Kho Kho, Khusti, Kabbadi, and hockey; and that his 11-member team will be facing, not only abuse, but more than 11 players from the opposition. Found this movie to be amateurish and basically be there to cash on cricket hysteria in India. All the characters were cartoon like, including teenagers from poor (good) school and rich (bad) school. Even the main character of Hari Sadu (Suri) was not fully developed. Music was pathetic. I liked whatever few scenes Sandhya Mridul was in. She brought some level of normalcy and humanity in this movie. Movie tried to copy a big blockbuster Lagaan but failed miserably.

I am sure this movie was made on a very small budget but that should not be an excuse for a bad product. There are other better movies made on cricket in India. Avoid this one.

His new job is to coach the Royal Heritage team to win their sixth state championship, but he faces a stiff opposition to his coaching methods by the headstrong and arrogant members of the school team who are more impressed with Sachin’s Ferrari than his batting skills and hard work behind it. The boys are talented but don’t have the passion and the discipline to match Hari’s ideas.

This results in a lot of situations which add to the already simmering tension, leading to a final showdown where Hari Sadu is wrongly accused and is thrown out by the board of members. He’s replaced by Harry Oberoi, who is more of a suave fixer from the Cricket world than a coach, but suits the image and profile of the school. Hari Sadu gets home determined make a local team to take on the cudgel at the Inter-School Challenge. He’s helped in this pursuit by his wife Sonali and his cerebral palsy-suffering son Rustam.
